Raise The Barre

Main Street newcomers Kristel Maltese and Katie Houlahan are bringing a fresh and fashionable take on the all over body workout Xtend Barre, with the recent opening of their new studio in Osborne Park.

Opened on 4 June, the Xtend Barre studio is an exciting, bright new space filled with natural light and great energy. Best friends and co-owners Kristel and Katie opened their first studio in Floreat in November 2014 and to date, have an average of 175 clients a month. With classes bursting at the seams, Kristel and Katie decided to open a studio in Osborne Park with 18 instructors, to accommodate for existing and new clients.

Katie Houlahan, Xtend Barre Floreat and Osborne Park co-owner and instructor says she has always had a passion for health, fitness and nutrition. “At the studio, I get to share my passion with people of all ages, gender and fitness backgrounds,” she said. “Opening this boutique studio with my best friend Kristel was an easy decision. “We both feel so strong and energetic since starting Xtend and wanted to share this with others.”

Xtend Barre is a premier barre workout that combines the amazing results of dance with the principles of strength and safety in Pilates, all at the ballet barre. Ballet experience is not necessary and the instructors offer beginner, intermediate and advanced options to each move and can modify for pregnant women also.

To compliment the boutique experience, Xtend Barre Osborne Park also stocks amazing retail. Fashionable active wear, delectable teas, aromatic candles, wellness products and more. Xtend Barre Osborne Park is located at Level 1/151 Main Street.
