With the start of summer sneaking closer every day and hot days at the beach becoming more frequent, we all have the best intentions and goals to start eating cleaner or even getting a personal trainer. So we’re making it our mission to inspire and educate the Perth community about their options to nourish, nurture and move in our gorgeous city!

We’ve set our Goodness Patrol to the task of finding the best ways of #livingthegreen, by putting together the top pick of Healthy Cafes in Perth. We have included a mix of organic, vegetarian, paleo and more to have your mouth watering. You will not be short of delicious cafes to try over the summer months.

Please let us know in the comments below if we have missed out on your favourite spot around town!

You may remember these guys from their stall at the Subiaco Farmer’s Markets (another foodie dream that you should definitely check out!). Well good news – now you don’t have to wait until Saturday mornings to track them down, as their café is now open! Hurray!

The food is all organic and vegan friendly and could be for breakfast, lunch or a snack – whatever you need! They have Kombucha tea on tap (yep) and a fridge entirely dedicated to healthy sweets. Must tries include; Cocowhip (again!) – they do the original cocowhip, but with some exciting adding options – i.e. chuck hazelnut fudge chunks… why wouldn’t you?; Hibiscus & Rose Kombucha tea (ridiculously refreshing and good for your gut!); Original Kombucha and Raw “super” fudge (made from medijool dates and activated almonds).

Another Northbridge gem, Flora and Fauna is an adorable boutique laneway cafe serving us picturesque breakfasts and snacks that are almost too pretty to eat.

Must tries include; The chia pudding; Banana bread (with no refined sugar! Yay!) served with coconut jam, Nutella or organic peanut butter; Raw organic Matcha cheesecake; Vegan coconut + choc + oat + pink sea salt cookie and Vegan Matcha Green Tea cupcakes.
You cannot go wrong at this tiny Northbridge delight!

We love the Raw Kitchen – it just rocks! It’s one of Fremantle’s (and Perth’s) crown jewels when it comes to the healthy / clean eating movement. The popularity was proven when they moved into a bigger premise, and the place is still always packed! The menu is packed with so many delicious treats, including pizza, nachos, pasta – which are all raw! It is definitely worth a trip to Fremantle if you want to learn more about the raw way of live. The staff there are amazing also and will help you with any questions you have. The Raw Kitchen has a shop in store and online, yoga studio and they also hold workshops on Raw Food, so there is plenty going on in there.

Located on Beaufort St in Highgate, this super chilled vibe will have you in the mood in for some fresh organic produce. Best of all, the menu is gluten free, dairy free and processed sugar free. Solomon’s also caters for Vegan and Vegetarians, so you’ll be sure to find something on the menu to suit everyone. Their nut milk coffee is delicious, and it’s my go to coffee when i’m in the area!

May Street Larder is a cute little eatery that ‘strives for balance above all else in its menu, serving up a mixture of raw, paleo, and organic foods, with a few indulgences thrown in for good measure’. With menu items like the Cocowhip Breakfast Bowl and the Zucchini, Lupin & Lemon Fritters, there’s something on this menu to suit everyone’s tastes.

Let’s talk about CocoWhip. If you haven’t heard or tried of this latest health food craze… you are in for a treat (literally). CocoWhip is here to fill the black hole that cutting out icecream can leave in our lives. CocoWhip is the product of some incredibly smart humans, who have somehow made a product that has the same texture, taste and experience of soft serve…but minus all the naughty things! That is quite literally the dream. A soft-serve frozen treat using only Coconut Water, Organic Bio-Fermented Coconut Powder & Vegetable Sourced stabilisers. CocoWhip is a vegan, gluten and dairy-free dessert.  The perfect healthy treat on a hot summers day! May Street Larder has this coconutty goodness on tap and you can enjoy it in it’s meals (like mentioned above), on it’s own or even as a Cocogato - which is the CocoWhip version of an affrogato. DELISH!

The Market Juicery is my go to when I want a snack, a treat or just a little addition to my lunch or brekkie. The smoothies and juices are fresh and jam packed full of goodness to nourish you or perk you up when you’re feeling that arvo slump.

Must tries include; Peanut butter choc smoothie; Jaffa smoothie (Raw cacao, fresh orange zest, avocado, banana, walnuts, dates and almond milk); Coffee smoothie (banana, dates, cinnamon, walnuts, rice milk); Acai bowls/ Green smoothie bowls; Cacao & coconut crunch granola bowl with pecans; and BAGELS! (poached chicken, avocado smash, jalepeno, bacon, etc etc + other deliciousness) + HEAPS of other amazing wraps and lunch options.

If you work in the CBD and haven’t heard of Panache… you need to get out of the office more. Be prepared for the lunch rush…but also know that it is well worth the wait!

This is the perfect stop if you ran out of the door without brekkie, need a healthy and nourishing lunch or, of course, if you’re feeling the slump of the slow office afternoons and need that little something to get you through the day. The amazing thing about this café is that they are constantly updating what they sell. The healthy cookies, slices, wraps and lunch boxes never seem to be the same each day and there are so many options, you’re bound to find something you love.

Our fav picks are Granola cookies dipped in raw cacao; Zucchini and banana power muffins; Coconut Matcha bars; Cacao chia breakfast pots with caramelised banana ; Felafel bowls and any of their smoothies…but definitely the ‘green hulk’ goes down a treat.

Centrally located in Northbridge on a tree lined strip, and filled with recycled furniture, you’ll find The Little Bird café. With its indoor and outdoor seating, comfy couches and live music, you’d be forgiven in thinking that the atmosphere is the reason you’d visit. But wait until you see the menu – and the freshly made baked goods that greet you at the counter.

Filled with goodness for all, you’ll find delicious, wholesome, fresh meals suitable for the whole family – no matter which lifestyle you follow. The kombucha is fresh, the coffee is rich (sourced from Pound, a local roastery), the fruit is mostly local and/or organic, and there are plenty of dairy/nut/gluten/animal free options on offer.

Beautiful venue which such a relaxing ambience! It’s like taking a quick trip over to Bali, and the outdoor garden area is cosy and chilled in the sunshine. Perfect for a sunny summer day. The take away muffin is my pick, accompanied with the red and green latte, just delish. Its also all day breakfast.

Definitely worth a visit for the experience. Going to Chinta is like escaping to another place! Chinta is definitely worth a visit if your around the area and it’s very accessible on Scarborough Beach Road.

Apparently every worker in West Perth and Subi knows this place, and there’s a good reason why - tasty, fresh and plenty of healthful options! Staff are quick to serve, efficient in their service and always super friendly. This cute healthy cafe is nestled in the food court, they keep introducing small menu changes, so there is always something new to try.
