Apple, Rosemary and Cinnamon Iced Tea

Ingredients

  • 1 whole red apple, cored, thinly sliced
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 rosemary sprig
  • 2 L boiling water
  • To serve: ice, fresh apple slices, fresh seasonal fruits (I used cherries and limes, but oranges or mandarins would be beautiful too)

Method

Add sliced apple, cinnamon and rosemary to a glass bowl or a pot.

Add 2 litres of boiling water, stir a couple of times and cover.

Let it sit until it reaches room temperature (about an hour or so). Then strain, pour into a jug and refrigerate. Keep the ‘stewed’ apples – you can eat them as is, use them in chia pudding or porridge.

Serve chilled during summer with fresh fruit.
