Brisbane’s 9 Best Pet-Friendly Healthy CafesBrisbane, Food, Goodness PatrolBy Elizabeth TuckettAugust 20, 2018 Share Animals make everything better. Even coffee, and coffee is almost perfect! So, why not have both? Here are our favourite spots to bring your pets for a caffeine fix and some eats! Frenchies 142 Bay Tce, Wynnum With French Bulldogs as their mascots, Frenchies loves animals and animal lovers (but are perhaps a little partial to dogs). The food is unbelievably good and your pet will be looked after with some water and the option to purchase some tasty treats. Atticus Finch 2/83 Latrobe Tce, Paddington A gorgeous homage to the literary classic, the hipster café in the heart of Paddington can be enjoyed by everyone – including your furry friends. Bearing deck hooks for leashes and water bowls filled to the brim, you can be assured that while you’re sipping lattes, your pet is just as contented as you. We totally recommend the porridge – so divine! Black Lab Coffee 6/11 Kuring Gai Ave, Tarragindi Inspired by Audrey the Labrador, Black Lab Coffee is a community for dog lovers to support animal rescue groups, animal adoption and promote responsible pet ownership. Famous for their puppa-cinos and doggy ice cream, you can spoil your pooch the way you’ve always wanted. Oh, we should also mention the human coffee is incredible too. Two Hounds Espresso 86 Old Toombul Rd, Northgate Tucked away amongst industrial Northate, you’ll find Two Hounds. Quaint and staffed by truly genuine and kind people, if you go there enough you’ll be known by name in no time. However, even before you’re greeted by a person, you’re likely to be greeted by Bagel and Milo (the two hounds behind Two Hounds), ready to receive all the pats you have to spare. If you’re in for a cheat day, dive into their dreamy banana bread. Penny Coffee Co 109 Annerley Rd, Dutton Park Decorated by Noel Fielding’s likeness, Penny Coffee Co promises locally sourced, high quality ingredients throughout their menu, complimented by “cozy vibes and dank tunes”. Maintaining a vibe of understated cool, they let their seasonal eats speak for themselves and we definitely rate the Vegetabowl. Your pet-pal will be welcomed with a smile (and most likely a pat and a chat). Samson and Sophie 2 Macquarie St, Teneriffe Rustic, vintage and wholesome – Samson and Sophie is a beautiful hide-away for both you and your pet. And, hold onto your hats, the menu sports our favourite three words: All Day Breakfast. Leave your leash at the hitching station and let your pet canoodle with some new friends as you take it slow in this homey café. D-SOL Café 16 Ferny Way, Ferny Hills In the heart of surburbia lives D-SOL, a family and pet-friendly café, with sufficient refreshments for your companion and games galore for the kids. The menu boasts both healthy and indulgent options, with either choice promising to be a good one. Make sure you look out for some liver treats for Buster! Carport Café 3 Pickwick St, Cannon Hill Like sitting in the garden of someone who truly cares about their garden – you know the type! Carport Café is decorated in lush greenery and a mishmash of furnishings that instantly make you feel at home. Your pet will have a ball, sniffing around the courtyard and perhaps making other animal and human friends. It’s a must-do with food that is reliably simple and delicious. Artista Coffee 97 Boundary St, West End Did someone say jaffles? Did someone say dogs and jaffles?! We’re so there, it’s insane. Always filled with patrons, it’s easy to see (and taste) why Artista is a favourite. Flanked by puppy parking spots, you and your pooch can soak up the eccentricities of West End together.
