Gone are the days of vegans strictly ordering espressos at cafes. Sydney’s vegan movement has encouraged people to order plant based mylks with their coffee instead of dairy, and chow down on the many vegetarian and vegan foodie options that pair perfectly well with a cappuccino. Studies show that the amount of vegetarians in Australia has increased by 23% over the last four years – am amazing statistic! As more Aussies swap pork for plants, we’re finding a much wider range of vegan and vegetarian options in stores and at our local’s. Here are our top picks of Sydney cafes that have turned flowers into food and pot plants into pots of coffee!

Badde Manors, Glebe

In a city as large as Sydney, it’s quite hard to find a homely, handmade menu. Badde Manors makes their desserts according to an old family recipe. The cafe is famously known for their tiramisu and carrot cake because they are made in house. They also offer freshly made juices and gelatos if you have a sweet tooth! Badde Manors bases their cafe off a menu that promotes healthy eating and inclusion of all dietary requirements, so they also serve gluten and dairy-free cakes.
